Team Summary

Arcesium seeks a motivated technologist to represent Arcesium‘s technology in the Sales process. Sales Engineering, a part of the Client and Partner Development (CPD) team, is responsible for building world-class demos that crisply highlight the breadth and depth of what Arcesium does and can do. Using deep knowledge of Arcesium’s products, they are responsible for maintaining the demo environment(s), building the library of use cases for prospects, new customer content development, assisting with complex responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and executing Proof of Concepts. This highly-impactful, cross-functional team is on the front lines of helping Arcesium win business in new markets, new products and new client segments in a collegial, collaborative and exciting environment.

What You'll Do

  • Act as SME in Sales meetings for the Global Sales Teams (especially UK entity)
  • Document client facing responses to RFP and technical questionnaires 
  • Create high quality, professional Sales materials including architecture and integration diagrams, and compelling examples to showcase APIs capabilities using Demo and/or Sandbox environments 
  • Get familiar with every module and application on Arcesium’s product offering. This includes learning about both business functionality and architecture of all applications, their key APIs, and how they integrate with each other and external components (e.g. order management systems, market data vendors, SWIFT, counterparties, trade matching and confirmation platforms, derivatives exchanges, etc.)
  • Demo Arcesium’s technology to prospective clients, including cloud infrastructure, deployment model, SDLC processes, APIs, information security, business continuity planning, available integration options (APIs, Snowflake, files, messaging) etc. 
  • Listen to client’s high level requirements in a Sales meeting, process such information and present/discuss available options at a high level on-the-fly in the same conversation
  • Learn and stay updated on how each live client integrates with Arcesium for different data sets and use cases, how Arcesium fits into their overall technology ecosystem 
  • Develop reasonable knowledge of competing and complementing modules/products used in the industry, and approaches to integrate with them 
  • Create tailored examples - data ingress/egress, scripts to transform data, building data warehouses etc.
  • Play a key role in identifying R&D requirements that emerge from Sales meetings, work with Product teams to come up with estimates while making reasonable assumptions based on your understanding of the prospective client, and ultimately coming up with what should / should not be a committed R&D requirement
  • Build and deliver rich API training for our clients. The ideal candidate will need to develop / maintain software that will enable simultaneous hands-on training of various end users 
  • Travel to client locations to deliver on-site training sessions and proof-of-concept result presentations. This includes US but especially Europe, Asia and Australia

What You'll Need

  • Bachelors in Computer Science
  • 7-12 years of experience working for technology/consulting firms or firms providing technological expertise for major players in capital markets/hedge fund administration/asset management domain
  • Knowledge and skills cutting across technology, the financial domain, project management and coordination
  • Strong technical writing aptitude
  • Some experience on coding is essential. Java or Python is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of business domain encompassing the full breadth of the trade and post-trade lifecycle for a wide spectrum of complex asset classes
  • Excellent business acumen and the ability to interpret complex business processes
  • Demonstrated success working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
