Position Summary

Arcesium seeks a proactive and resourceful Benefits Specialist to join our Human Capital team. This individual will report to the Head of Human Capital Operations and will be responsible for managing both the daily operations and overall strategic vision of Arcesium’s compensation and benefits practices. 

Responsibilities

Benefits
- Administering employee benefits programs for insurance and savings plans: 
    o Arcesium’s open enrollment process: developing and executing online benefits enrollment, finalizing renewals and documentation with brokers/vendors, coordinating staff communication, setting up file feeds etc.
    o Monitoring administration and maintenance of records for short term disability, long term disability, work from home arrangements, worker’s compensation, and FMLA leaves
- Handling all questions from employees and vendors around benefits administration (i.e. qualifying events, enrollment questions, employee deductions)
- Keeping employees updated on changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility and coverage
- Facilitating accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators or other stakeholders
- Conducting employee surveys and market research to assess benefit offerings and reviewing quotes from benefit providers
- Monitoring administrators’ and insurance carriers’ reports and file feeds to ensure  compliance with plan requirements 
- Ensuring compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with benefits brokers, benefit vendors, and other key stakeholders
- Reviewing vendor invoices, resolving disputes, and reporting on fees and costs
- Staying current on all relevant legislation changes and market trends and recommending changes where required

Compensation
- Developing and executing a comprehensive compensation benchmark study and making recommendations to keep the organization’s compensation strategy competitive and effective
- Providing support during annual compensation review process and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws
- Preparing documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders and participating in audits
 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in compensation and benefit plan management and coordination. Experience with the design and implementation of wellness and benefit programs across geographies is a plus. This individual must have strong problem solving and analytical skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently with a high degree of accuracy. They must be able to work well both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Finally, the ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information with discretion is a must. A bachelor's degree with a strong record of academic achievement is required.
