Position Summary

Arcesium seeks a talented Software Engineer to join our Forward Deployed team in Client and Partner Development.  Software Engineers on our Forward Deployed team solve a wide variety of high impact problems with sophisticated financial services clients. Our SE’s primarily bridge the gaps between Arcesium’s cloud fintech platform and our clients' business and data needs. In this role, you will directly learn about new client problems, new domains, and new technologies rather than adding small features to an existing product. You will make direct, high impact contributions to clients with a high level of autonomy and self-direction to solve problems. Your innovations will power our relationships with clients, deepen our integrations, and become new features or products implemented by platform teams.

Responsibilities

- Work with project teams to own execution and delivery of data solutions and integrations for clients. Your day to day work will change over time as client needs change and our platform evolves.
- Collaborate with our engineers on architecture decisions and the future of the data platform, code new data pipelines, and deliver iterative proof of concepts to build value with clients 
- Work with client technology and business executives to perform demos and plan next steps 
- Your code may run in our platform, in our client’s environment, or only once to ensure a critical deliverable 

Qualifications

- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience delivering data-centric technical solutions to enterprise scale customers 
- A growth oriented mindset, with a drive for problem solving and execution
- Knowledge and skills that cut across technology, project management and coordination, and client communication
- Experience with Java (or any other strongly typed programming language), relational databases (SQL) and Python (or other duck typed scripting languages)
- Experience with cutting-edge cloud solutions and the modern data stack is required; experience with ML techniques is a plus
- A working knowledge of the financial services industry is preferred, but not required. Exposure to the investment lifecycle and asset management is advantageous.

The expected annual base salary for this position is $190,000 - $240,000. Our compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, cash and deferred sign-on bonuses, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, and 401k contribution matching. 

The applicable annual base salary or hourly rate paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors including without limitation the nature and extent of prior experience and educational background.
